PRINTED ON PATRIOTIC "TRICOLORE" PAPER STOCKS AND SIMILARLY BOUND, REINTRODUCING THE FRENCH NATIONAL FLAG FOLLOWING THE 1830 JULY REVOLUTION. CONTAINED HEREIN ARE EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS OF THE EVENTS OF THE THREE DAYS OF THE COUP D'ETAT, THE SO-CALLED "TROIS GLORIEUSES" (27-29 JULY), HERE PRINTED ON BLUE, WHITE, AND (PALE) RED PAPER.

Our copy is distinguished by its unusual "patriotic" binding complete with Tricolore decoration: the upper board, pastedown and verso of front endpaper are covered with blue paper; lower board covered with white paper; back pastedown and verso of final endpaper covered with pale red paper. The copies of this text currently on the market are in boring, routine bindings, as was the only copy listed in the Rare Book Hub auction records (sold at Henri Godts 6/16/15 lot 136) which currently lists more than 16 million records in the Rare Book Transaction Database.

Alongside the eyewitness accounts of the "Trois Glorieuses" and related official documents, we find herein the words of the great patriotic song "La Parisienne" by Casimir Delavigne (playwright and librarian of the Palais-Royal) and the actual music by Auber. This song served as the French national anthem under the new "King of the French" Louis-Philippe I.
